What you will see
“Magia Cómica” is the family show by the magician Magic José, mixing illusionism, humour and a great deal of audience participation. Flying cards, suspicious dice and objects that do not behave as they should follow one another at the easy pace of someone who turns each trick into a small shared scene. The idea is to watch closely, let yourself be taken in a little and find out that magic has a sense of humour too. It is a good choice for an afternoon with children, because the audience does not just watch: it joins in the game. It is part of the cultural programme that the Diputación de Córdoba spreads around the villages of the province.
Getting there
The first performance is on Sunday 11 October at 17:30 in the Parque Municipal in Carcabuey, outdoors. The second is on Saturday 24 October at 19:00 at the Teatro Municipal in Valenzuela. The Diputación's programme lists neither a price nor ticket sales, so it is worth asking at each village hall. It is organised by the Diputación de Córdoba's Delegación de Cultura as part of its provincial performing arts circuit.
