Seventh edition of the contest that in 2020 revived Priego's historic Festival de la Canción. After a video selection stage, at least eight finalists from all over Spain, a minimum of two of them from Córdoba, compete for the prizes at an in-person gala with a live band. The date depends on the building work at the Teatro Victoria finishing on time; if not, it would move to November.

What it is / What you'll see
The Festival de la Canción "Turismo de Priego" was born in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, as a way of reviving the town's old song festival through social media, and since then it has grown to the point of receiving entries from all over Spain and from abroad. Anyone over 18 can take part, in any style, as a soloist, duo, trio or group, with an original song or a cover. A jury of music professionals first selects the videos and then chooses the winners at the final gala, at which at least eight finalists perform, with two artists from the province guaranteed a place if they reach the standard. The finalists can sing accompanied by a professional band with guitar, bass, piano and drums. There is a special prize for the best Córdoba artist and an audience prize.
Getting there and tickets
The final gala is planned for Saturday 24 October 2026 at the Teatro Victoria in Priego de Córdoba, which reopens after its refurbishment. The Town Council warns that the date depends on the theatre's building work being finished: if it is not ready in time, the gala will move to November. The names of the finalists will be known by 10 October at the latest. It is organised by Priego de Córdoba Town Council under the Mascarón cultural brand.
