What it is and what you'll see
This experience from the Patronato Provincial de Turismo brings together two of the great attractions of Los Pedroches: the ham and the sky. It begins with a visit to Villanueva de Córdoba, continues with a tour of a livestock farm to understand where acorn-fed Iberian ham with the Los Pedroches Protected Designation of Origin comes from, and goes on to a tasting. At nightfall comes the finishing touch: a guided stargazing workshop under the district's skies, which have been declared a Starlight Reserve. It is one of the few chances this autumn to do guided astrotourism in the province without paying.
Getting there and registration
It is one of the free activities of Córdoba, Infinitas Experiencias, the programme of the Provincial Council's Patronato Provincial de Turismo that runs until 30 November 2026. Registration is via the form at infinitasexperienciasinscripciones.es and, according to the Patronato, opens on the Friday before each activity; places go fast, as happened with all the September dates. The exact time and meeting point are sent to those registered. This activity offers 35 places and is held on Saturday 24 October 2026 in Villanueva de Córdoba and on a farm in the district. Bring warm clothing for the night-time part.
