What it is
Alonso Núñez, ‘Rancapino Chico’, celebrates Christmas from within the flamenco tradition with ‘El cante por Navidad’, one of his most exciting projects for the last weeks of the year. After his resounding triumph at the last Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, he returns with a show that fuses tradition and emotion on the basis of traditional, roots flamenco singing, and takes the audience through the sounds and rhythms of a flamenco Christmas. In a genuine, personal adaptation of the popular songbook, the verses of the most traditional carols are fitted to different flamenco forms. The night culminates in the traditional fin de fiesta.

The show is on Saturday 19 December 2026 at 8 pm at the Teatro El Brillante, in the Colegio La Salle, with the main entrance on the Carretera de las Ermitas (Córdoba).
