A catwalk over the Guadalquivir
On Thursday 8 October, at 20:00, the Puente Romano stops being Córdoba's most photographed walk for a while and becomes a catwalk. Silbon, the fashion label born in the city in 2009, has chosen the bridge to present its autumn-winter 2026 collection on home ground. The time is no accident: in early October it gets dark at around eight, so the show coincides with the last light on the river and with the lights coming on at the Mezquita-Catedral and the torre de la Calahorra.
What you'll see
Three lines take to the bridge: the FW26 collection, with pieces for men and for women; Unique, the house's limited edition, also for both; and Made to Measure, its bespoke tailoring for men. The made-to-measure suits shown will be sold after the show, and the brand has announced that one hundred per cent of the proceeds will go to the Fundación Silbon. Among the guests announced are Pablo López, the label's chief executive, and the presenter Arantxa del Sol, along with fashion professionals, brand ambassadors and the media.
Where to watch from
The show on the bridge is by invitation, but it can be watched for free from outside: the organisers point to the sides of the avenida del Alcázar, on the Mezquita bank, as the place for the public. It is worth arriving in good time, because the riverside parapets fill up early, and expect access across the bridge to be limited during the set-up and the show. Traffic is restricted in the area: the practical option is to walk from the centre or leave the car in the car parks on the paseo de la Victoria.
