A temporary museum about Córdoba
For its tenth anniversary, C3A presents 'Whose City', a temporary museum where boundaries between eras, disciplines, and stories blur. The exhibition dialogues with works from Córdoba lenders, pieces from the CAAC collection, and new productions created for the occasion. The theme is the city: its shared memories, conflicts, imaginaries, and ways of inhabiting urban space, with Córdoba as a unique and universal territory.
Who is featured in the exhibition
The list of artists spans centuries and styles. It includes historic Córdoba painters like Juan de Valdés Leal, Damián de Castro, Rafael Romero Barros, and Julio Romero de Torres; avant-garde artists such as Equipo 57, Manolo Millares, Robert Motherwell, and Roberto Matta; and international names like Francis Bacon, Joseph Beuys, Ana Mendieta, Martha Rosler, Allan Sekula, Christo, and Wolfgang Tillmans. Also featured are architecture studios, urban collectives, and local figures like Pepe Espaliú and poet Juan Bernier.
Where and until when
The exhibition is held in rooms T2 and T3, the Atrium, and the Media Library of C3A, located on the south bank of the Guadalquivir, on Carmen Olmedo Checa street, near the Miraflores bridge. Curated by Gilberto González and Lola Baena, it can be visited until February 14, 2027. At the same time, room T4 hosts 'The Tarantula Bite: South and Folklore', so a single visit allows seeing both exhibitions.
