CIGESTUR is an international academic congress on heritage tourism management that the University of Córdoba has hosted for six editions. It brings together researchers and professionals to discuss the future of cultural tourism in a city with four World Heritage listings. This year's poster is dedicated to Averroes.
Topics
The sixth edition focuses on sustainable tourism, technological innovation and integrating heritage into regional development. The more than twenty themes range from visitor management at heritage sites to rural tourism, identity-based gastronomy and artificial intelligence applied to new tourism products. It takes place on 19 and 20 November 2026 at the UCO Rectorado, on avenida de Medina Azahara. Registration, with options for attendees and authors, is handled on the congress's official website.
