What you will see
The Coloquios de la Infancia de Jesús are a religious play that Alcaracejos stages in the street every four years, just before Three Kings' Day. The last editions were in 2015, 2019 and 2023, so January 2027 is its turn again. The performance goes through several biblical passages from the early years of Jesus of Nazareth, and it is put on by the villagers themselves: more than 160 actors, joined by the jota group Los Jarales and the Coral Virgen de Guía de Alcaracejos. It is one of the most distinctive traditions of Los Pedroches and a rare chance to see a whole village on stage.
Getting there
The agenda of the Mancomunidad de Los Pedroches places the performances from 2 to 5 January 2027, from 6 pm to 10 pm, in the Plaza de Los Pedroches in Alcaracejos, where it is usually staged on three consecutive days. The source gives no price. Before travelling, confirm the time of each performance with Alcaracejos Town Council.
