Grupo de Teatro La Parroquia, 47 years on the stage, premieres a comedy of humour and mystery at the XLVI Jornadas Culturales-Teatrales in honour of the Virgen de la Estrella. There are three performances at the Teatro Olimpia.

Grupo de Teatro La Parroquia returns to the Teatro Municipal Olimpia with "Asesinato en la Mansión España", the comedy for the XLVI Jornadas Culturales-Teatrales in honour of the Virgen de la Estrella, patron saint of Villa del Río. The play promises humour, absurd situations and a mystery the audience will have to follow to the very end to find out whether it is solved or everything ends in disaster. The company has a 47-year history and has staged its theatre season every year since 1980, with the one forced exception of 2020 because of COVID-19. It is one of the longest-running amateur theatre events in the province.
Getting there and tickets
There are three performances at the Teatro Municipal Olimpia in Villa del Río: Saturday 17 October at 20:00, Friday 23 at 20:30 and Saturday 24 at 20:00. Tickets cost €3 and are sold at the theatre box office on Mondays from 11:30 to 13:00, on Thursdays from 11:30 to 13:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00, and one hour before each performance. It is organised by Grupo de Teatro La Parroquia, sponsored by the Town Council's Culture Department.
