What it is / What you'll see

Cabra holds its first public tentadero, an educational event presented by the town's Culture councillor and the Egatauro association. The matadors Alberto Lamelas and Javier de la Concha will test two yearling bulls lent by Javier Alvalle's ranch; afterwards, the pupils of the Escuela Taurina de Cabra will test three heifers from the same breeder. The school has 11 pupils and, for most of them, this will be their first appearance before an audience in the ring where they train. The day aims to show those attending the work done in the field and how a tentadero unfolds, and it will end with a communal rice lunch with music and children's entertainment.

Getting there and tickets

It takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 11:30 at the Plaza de Toros de Cabra. Admission to the tentadero is free while space lasts. Tickets for the communal rice lunch cost a donation of €8, with limited capacity and advance sales at the points shown on the poster. It is sponsored by Córdoba Provincial Council, with the collaboration of Cabra Town Council, and organised by the Egatauro association.
