What it is
"Lunaria" is the official staging of the winning play in the children's category of the Barahona de Soto drama competition, which aims to encourage the performing arts among the very young with educational and creative values. It is staged by Lucena's Escuela Municipal de Teatro Duque de Rivas. The story follows Amalia, an inventor grandmother with more imagination than caution, who has built a rocket out of everyday objects to travel to Lunaria, a mysterious planet next to the Moon. She is joined by her curious grandson Marcos and by Amparo, an intrepid bus inspector, on a mission full of contraptions, songs, muffins and interplanetary surprises.
