About the event
The Fundación Antonio Gala holds the Semana de Gala from 9 to 15 November 2026 at its premises on calle Ambrosio de Morales, at the Fundación Cajasol and at Casa Árabe in Córdoba. There are talks such as Jesús Vigorra's with Carmen Posadas, concerts, the launch of «Sonetos de La Zubia» and exhibitions. All activities are free until full.

A week to remember Antonio Gala
The Fundación Antonio Gala para Jóvenes Creadores organises a new Semana de Gala, the annual event with which Córdoba remembers the writer. The 2026 edition runs from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 November, is sponsored by the Fundación Cajasol and spreads its events between the foundation itself, in the former Corpus Christi convent on calle Ambrosio de Morales, the Cajasol premises on Ronda de los Tejares and Casa Árabe. There are talks, concerts, exhibitions, book launches and an awards ceremony, and everything is free until full.
Day-by-day programme
On Monday 9 at 19:30 the foundation's president, Francisco Moreno, opens the week with a talk on the history of the Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores, the opening of the Premios Reina Sofía exhibition and a glass of Montilla-Moriles in the courtyard. On Tuesday 10 at 19:30, at Cajasol, «La voz de las campanas. Averroes, Gala y la fe de la razón» is presented, by Antonio Manuel with music by Gil Monteagudo. On Wednesday 11 Daniel Martínez and María Aguilera sing poems by Gala, and on Thursday 12 there is an event about Alhaurín el Grande at midday and, at 19:30 at Casa Árabe, the awards ceremony of the VI Concurso Internacional de Booktrailers.
The weekend
On Friday 13, at the Fundación Cajasol, the exhibition «Cruzar miradas. Retratos de Antonio Gala» opens at 19:00 and at 19:30 Jesús Vigorra talks with writer Carmen Posadas. On Saturday 14 at 12:00 poet Ben Clark and publisher Luis Cárdenas present «Sonetos de La Zubia», published by Hiperión; in the afternoon, at the foundation, Israel Pintor presents «Yo no pedí ser trending topic», the novel that won the VII Premio Biblioteca Fundación Antonio Gala, and at 20:00 there is a discussion with resident creators for the foundation's 25th anniversary. On Sunday 15 at 12:30 the Camerata Gala closes with a concert.
