What it is / What you will see
Rojo starts from an original story by the writer Liliana Bodoc and opens with a line: it happened when the devil left his fires for an apple seller. La Canela Teatro de Títeres turns that tale into a tender, funny show that turns the traditional role of the devil and the witches on its head. A puppet booth that transforms allows different techniques to be used, glove and table-top puppets, alongside mask and oral storytelling. The narrator, played by Analía Sisamón, gradually reveals why she chose to tell this story and why the colour red tinged her childhood memories with happiness. Direction and script are by Julia Ruiz. It is a show designed for family audiences aged 5 and up.
