What it is
"Panorama desde el puente" (A View from the Bridge) is Arthur Miller's moving play about immigration, family betrayal, repressed passion and the strict code of honour of the dockers of the port of Brooklyn, in New York. Eddie Carbone is a rough longshoreman who lives with his wife Beatrice and his niece Catherine. The arrival of two illegal immigrants, Marco and Rodolfo, Beatrice's cousins, sets off tensions in the family, especially when Rodolfo starts a romance with Catherine. Eddie, consumed by jealousy and by an unbridled obsession with his niece, makes decisions that lead to tragedy. It is produced by TalyCual Producciones and lasts about 105 minutes.

The performance is on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 21:00 at the Auditorio Municipal Manuel Lara Cantizani, Calle de los Claveles, 3, in Lucena, as part of the XXIX Semana del Teatro Ciudad de Lucena. Tickets cost €16, €18 and €20, with no discounts and included in the season ticket, and are bought on Giglon; the event page warned that very few were left. It is organised by Lucena Town Council.
