What it is
Montilla's Paella Gigante reaches its 36th edition, which gives an idea of how deeply rooted it is in the local calendar. It is organised by the Centuria Romana Munda, one of the town's corporations, which every year turns the Plaza de la Aurora into a meeting point around a huge paella. The Town Council's calendar places it on Sunday 1 November, the All Saints' Day holiday, between midday and the afternoon. It is a sociable street event, open to locals and visitors, and a way of enjoying the atmosphere of the Aurora neighbourhood in the middle of the long weekend, just after the Fiesta del Mosto Nuevo.
Getting there and tickets
The paella is on Sunday 1 November 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00, in the Plaza de la Aurora in Montilla. The municipal calendar gives neither the price of portions nor whether you need to book. Those details come from the organiser, the Centuria Romana Munda. The event appears in Montilla Town Council's official calendar (montilla.es/agenda). To round off the long weekend, the calendar lists the VII Gala Cultural of the Asociación Cultural Viva at the Teatro Garnelo on 31 October and 1 November.
