What it is
The Media Maratón Ciudad de Lucena reaches its 13th edition on Sunday 14 March 2027. As well as the 21 kilometres of the half marathon, there is a 10 km race for anyone looking for a shorter distance. It is one of the Subbética's mass-participation running dates and a good excuse to run through Lucena at the end of winter. The Turismo de la Subbética agenda does not yet give details of the route or the location of the start and finish.
Getting there and registration
The start is at 9:30 am on Sunday 14 March 2027 in Lucena. Half marathon entries cost 10 euros from 1 August 2026 to 24 January 2027, and 14 euros from 25 January to 25 February 2027. The 10K race costs 5 euros from 1 August 2026 to 25 February 2027. See the agenda listing for the registration link.
