A new release at the Filmoteca
The Córdoba venue of the Filmoteca de Andalucía includes in its new releases strand Hombres de acero, the film British director Cal McMau shot in 2025. It is a 90-minute colour feature screened in the original version with Spanish subtitles, a good chance to see on the big screen a recent title that does not always reach the city's commercial cinemas.
What it is about
The story begins when Taylor, a prisoner who has served a good part of his sentence, is about to be granted parole. Everything gets complicated with the arrival of Dee, his new cellmate, who puts at risk the release that seemed so close. A drama set behind bars about living together, tension and second chances.

The screening is on Friday 30 October 2026 at 20:30 at the Filmoteca de Andalucía, calle Medina y Corella, 5, in the heart of the Judería and a short walk from the Mezquita. Tickets cost 0,90 € and are sold at the Filmoteca itself. It is worth arriving early as the cinema's capacity is limited.
