What it is
Gata Brass Band take to the street with ‘¡Que suene la calle!’, a show of about 90 minutes built from the band's original compositions and with a single purpose: to get the audience dancing. Their repertoire runs through the second line rhythms of New Orleans, black music in its funk, disco and hip-hop forms, Latin rhythms and Spanish music, with flamenco rumba in the leading role. All of it is mixed with sounds from electronic music, such as drum and bass, and with rock influences. It is a Sunday afternoon plan for all ages, with the energy of a street brass band and the quality of a group that writes its own tunes.
