In October La Guijarrosa holds its main feria in honour of the Virgen del Rosario. It lasts five days, from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11, and rounds off the province's calendar of ferias along with Moriles, Montoro and Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo. This year's poster is a watercolour illustration of the church tower and a local woman in a shawl, holding a fan that shows the Virgin, a nod to tradition and to the town's older generation. The town council has already published the Libro de Feria 2026, which sets out the programme of religious services, performances and activities over these days. It is a village feria, friendly and family-minded, very different from the big city ones.
Getting there and tickets
The feria is held from 7 to 11 October 2026 in La Guijarrosa. The full programme, with times and places, is in the Libro de Feria that the Ayuntamiento de La Guijarrosa has made available on its website (laguijarrosa.es). Municipal ferias are free to enter. Since September 2026 the town has been part of the Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano de Córdoba.
