What it is

Del tablao… ¡a la sinfonía! takes the forms of flamenco, from martinetes and soleares to farrucas and bulerías, into the symphonic world. It is performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica Flamenca (OSFE), created five years ago by Lucía Moreno, a pianist and composer trained at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Córdoba, with one clear idea: that the flamenco ensemble should not be an add-on but one more section of the orchestra. According to its founders, it is the only orchestra born to create and perform flamenco orchestral repertoire. This concert for International Flamenco Day features works from its repertoire (Riqueni, Paco de Lucía, Carlos Pacheco) and pieces that won prizes at the Cajasol international competition, such as Del dolor al duende, heard for the first time in Córdoba, as well as world premieres.

Getting there and tickets

The concert is on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 8 pm at the Teatro Góngora, Calle Jesús y María, 10, in the centre of Córdoba. Tickets cost €15 in the mezzanine and €20 in the stalls, and are sold at entradas.teatrocordoba.es and at the box offices of the municipal theatres. It is promoted by the Asociación Aldaba Bemol within the IMAE programme. It is the only performance in Córdoba before the orchestra goes on tour to Granada and Badajoz, so it is best not to leave buying until the last day.
