mk2 Cines El Tablero looks back over Hayao Miyazaki's filmography with six features, from Princess Mononoke to The Boy and the Heron. There are dubbed screenings at midday at weekends and original-language screenings on Sunday nights.

What you will see
mk2 Cines El Tablero is devoting a season to the Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, tied to the Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities given to Studio Ghibli. The programme brings together six features spanning more than 26 years of his career: Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001), Howl's Moving Castle (2004), Ponyo (2008), The Wind Rises (2013) and The Boy and the Heron (2023). The last of these marked his return to cinema after a decade and won him the Oscar for best animated feature, twenty years after the one for Spirited Away. A chance to see on the big screen, as a family or in the original language, the work of the studio he founded with Isao Takahata and Toshio Suzuki.
Getting there and tickets
The season is screened from 19 September to 25 October 2026 at mk2 Cines El Tablero, calle Poeta Juan Ramón Jiménez 25, Córdoba. There are screenings on Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 in Spanish, on Sundays at 20:00 in the original language with Spanish subtitles, and an extra screening on Monday 12 October at 12:00. Tickets are paid for and are bought on the mk2 Cines website.
