About the event
Puente Genil holds the 24th Cata-Fiesta del Membrillo (quince tasting festival) on Friday 13 November 2026. From 12 noon to 2 pm, on the Paseo del Romeral, there is a demonstration of how quince paste is made by hand and the contest entries are collected. At 7 pm, at the salón La Noria, the jury judges the entries and hands out the prizes, and at 9 pm there is a communal dinner. Organised by the Asociación de Mujeres María Górriz with the Town Council.

Puente Genil quince
Quince is one of the products most closely linked to Puente Genil. In the morning, on the Paseo del Romeral, the traditional making of quince paste is demonstrated and the entries competing in the tasting are collected.
Contest and dinner
At 7 pm, at the salón La Noria, a jury judges the entries and awards the best. The day ends with a dinner at 9 pm. To enter the contest, register at the association's premises at Calle Cruz del Estudiante 35.
