What it is
The Cata del Vino Montilla-Moriles is the main annual promotional event of the Regulatory Council of the Montilla-Moriles and Vinagre de Montilla-Moriles PDOs. Over several days, the people of Córdoba come to taste the wines of the province's southern Campiña alongside the most typical tapas: fino, amontillado, oloroso, cream, Pedro Ximénez, young white and organic wines, aged in American oak butts by the criaderas and solera system under the veil of flor. Music livens up the celebration and there are activities such as tastings led by oenologists for those who request them. In 2026 it held its 40th edition from 23 to 26 April.
Getting there and tickets
The site is set up on the Avenida del Alcázar in Córdoba, with entrances, exits and ticket booths on both sides of the avenue. Access is free; tastings are paid for directly at the winery and restaurant stands, where you can also buy glasses of wine. The lists of wineries and restaurants, the programme of activities, the guided tastings and the map are published at cata.montillamoriles.es. The 2027 dates have not yet been announced; those on this page are indicative. It is organised by the Regulatory Council of the Montilla-Moriles DO.
