What it is / What you will see
The Subida a las Ermitas is one of the most distinctive races in the Córdoba calendar: it starts in the city centre and finishes up at the Ermitas, the hermitages in the sierra, after 13.5 kilometres. It is also a race for life, because it was created to promote organ donation and has the collaboration of the Transplant Coordination unit of the Hospital Universitario Reina Sofía and of the city council, through the Instituto Municipal de Deportes. It is organised by the Club Deportivo Amigos del Coche Escoba, which in 2026 holds the thirteenth edition. It awards prizes to the top three in each category and gives participants a technical T-shirt.
Getting there and tickets
The XIII Subida a las Ermitas is on Sunday 13 December 2026. At the last edition the start was at 10 am on the Ronda de los Tejares, opposite El Corte Inglés, and race numbers were collected on that store's sports floor. Entries open on 15 October on the club's website, amigosdelcochescoba.com, where the rules, the runner's information pack and the price will also be published.
