The concert that closes the cycle
The VIII Organ Cycle of Cabra ends on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 8:30 pm with baritone Víctor Cruz and organist Sylvio Salado. Their program, titled “L'aria che risuona,” offers a dialogue between voice and organ centered on Spanish and Italian baroque music. Cruz not only sings but also accompanies himself on theorbo and baroque guitar, a practice closely linked to the Hispanic tradition of the era that this duo aims to revive.
An organ with history
The venue is the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y Ángeles, whose baroque organ was built by the Furriel family between 1756 and 1758. It was restored in 2006, and this edition of the cycle celebrates precisely those twenty years of renewed use. The cycle is organized by Cabra Órgano Festival with the support of the Ayuntamiento de Cabra, the Diputación de Córdoba, the Schola Cantorum Egabrense, the parish itself, and the Junta de Andalucía. Saturday, November 21 at 8:30 pm at the Parish of Asunción y Ángeles, in Cabra. The Ayuntamiento has not published a price or reservation system for this concert, so it is advisable to check beforehand with the parish or the Delegation of Culture.
