What it is
"Tuyo Cid" starts from one idea: learning goes in better with a laugh. The company Malaje Sólo offers a journey to the origins of Spanish literature that is also a tribute to the minstrels, those first comedians who spread deeds, exploits and legends in the town squares. The play takes a very light-hearted look at the first known text written in Castilian, the Poema de Mio Cid, respecting its plot but updating details and drawing on humour, audience interaction and simple special effects.
