Twelve editions of municipal jazz
QurtubaJazz is the jazz festival organized by Córdoba City Council through its Departments of Culture and Historical Heritage and Education and Childhood, with collaboration from the Rafael Orozco Conservatory of Music and the Ziryab Professional Music Conservatory. The twelfth edition runs from October 16 to 25, 2026, with four concerts across three venues: the Rafael Orozco Conservatory auditorium, Cine Fuenseca, and Teatro Góngora. Three are free and two are held at midday on Sunday. There are also educational sessions for students.
The program, concert by concert
It kicks off on Friday the 16th at 8:00 PM at the Rafael Orozco Conservatory (calle Ángel de Saavedra, 1) with Vladimir Torres Quintet: the Franco-Uruguayan bassist and composer based in France presents 'Rush', with original modern jazz pieces. On Sunday the 18th at 1:00 PM, Tarquim and the Precious Metals present their new album at Cine Fuenseca. On Thursday the 22nd at 8:00 PM, trumpet player and singer Andrea Motis arrives at Teatro Góngora with her show 'Intimate'. The festival concludes on Sunday the 25th at 1:00 PM at Cine Fuenseca with Rücker Big Band Córdoba and 'Echoes of Soul & Swing'.
Tickets and school concerts
The concerts at the Conservatory and Cine Fuenseca are free until full capacity, so arriving early is recommended. The Andrea Motis concert is the only paid one: 15 euros, a fixed price, available at teatrocordoba.es (the municipal schedule previously listed 12 euros, but both the theater and festival websites confirm 15). On Wednesday the 21st and Thursday the 22nd of October at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, DidaJazz offers educational 'Get to Know Jazz' concerts at the Ziryab Professional Music Conservatory auditorium (avenida de los Piconeros), exclusively for registered schools at programaseducativos.cordoba.es.
