What changes in 2027
The themed market Córdoba sets up every last weekend of January is changing its theme. The City Council has laid down in the tender documents that its next two editions, those of 2027 and 2028, will be devoted to the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue title the city holds in 2027. The market leaves behind its Andalusi and medieval setting and becomes a tribute to the Mediterranean as a bridge between cultures, trade and civilisations. It will have between 100 and 160 themed stalls selling crafts, food and meals, and live craft workshops.
Where and when
The tender places the market from 29 to 31 January 2027 on the south bank of the Guadalquivir: the Parque de Miraflores, Calle José Luis Villegas, Calle Acera Mira el Río, the Jardines del Rocío, Avenida de Fray Albino and the area around the Calahorra. There will be an opening ceremony with all the participating groups at the Puerta del Puente. Times and programme will be known once the organising contract is awarded, so the dates are still to be confirmed. It is organised by Córdoba City Council.
