What it is

‘Medina Azahara, el musical’ is a stage show based on the career and songs of the legendary Andalusian rock band. The work is set in the year 2195, in a dystopian future in which music has been banned and emotional memories are replaced by artificial implants. Lucía, a young woman, finds a ruined theatre where the band's songs have been preserved, and that discovery becomes an act of cultural resistance and a tribute to collective memory. The original idea is by José Gutiérrez, with stage direction by Miguel de Miguel and musical work alongside Nacho Fernández.
