What it is
The Media Maratón de Córdoba reaches forty editions and celebrates by breaking records before the start: the 7,800 race numbers available sold out in less than a week, according to the Instituto Municipal de Deportes (Imdeco). It is an urban course of 21.097 km, certified by the Real Federación Española de Atletismo, notably flat and fast, designed for anyone looking to improve their personal best. Its great asset is the finish: the last kilometres head into the historic quarter, passing the Torre de la Calahorra and the Puente Romano, with the finish line beneath the Puerta del Puente, next to the Mezquita-Catedral. For the anniversary, participants will receive a finisher's medal with an exclusive design and a special technical T-shirt, as well as side activities that will be announced in due course.
Getting there and tickets
The race is held on Sunday 29 November 2026, starting at 10 am on Avenida del Conde de Vallellano and finishing at the Puerta del Puente, in the area around the Mezquita-Catedral. Entries are sold out, but there is a waiting list for possible cancellations on the registration platform (mmcordoba.cruzandolameta.es). The race is organised by the city council's Instituto Municipal de Deportes de Córdoba (Imdeco), and all the official information is at mediamaratoncordoba.es. For spectators, the final stretch across the Puente Romano is the best spot for cheering on the runners.
