What you will hear
The tenth subscription programme sets order against the untamed. The pianist Juan Pérez Floristán performs Béla Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 3, composed in 1945, when the composer was already very ill, as a farewell gift for his wife; he died before he could orchestrate the final bars. Then comes Jean Sibelius's Symphony No. 3, in which the epic gesture gives way to an almost classical clarity. Both works are first performances for the Orquesta de Córdoba. The guest conductor is Wilson Ng, and the concert is given in two performances, Thursday and Friday.
Getting there and tickets
The concert is at the Gran Teatro in Córdoba at 8 pm, with a second performance on Friday 14 May at the same time, as part of the Orquesta de Córdoba's subscription series. Single tickets cost between 10 and 27 euros depending on the area: stalls €27, central platea and boxes €20, side platea and boxes €18, central amphitheatre and gallery €15, and side €10. They are on sale from 1 October 2026 at the box offices of the Gran Teatro and the Teatro Góngora and on the Orquesta de Córdoba website, with no fees for online purchases. There are discounts that cannot be combined, such as 50% for young people up to the age of 35.
