What it is / What you will see
The Festival Internacional de Música, Teatro y Danza de Priego de Córdoba is one of the oldest in Spain and the main event of Mascarón, the town's festival calendar. Every July it combines opera, pop concerts, zarzuela, dance, theatre with well-known actors and family shows. In 2025 it was opened by Ainhoa Arteta and Luis Santana with the Orquesta Ciudad de Priego, and the bill also included Siloé and Mozart's "Requiem". In 2026 it ranged from the premiere of "Ibérica", with Chico Pérez and Sergio de Lope and the Big Band Ciudad de Mérida, to a night with Iván Ferreiro and Miss Caffeina and the closing show with Imanol Arias and María Barranco in "Mejor no decirlo".
Getting there and tickets
The shows are spread across the Fuente del Rey, the Paseo de Colombia, the Teatro Victoria, the Recinto Ferial and villages such as Las Lagunillas and Zagrilla. Some performances are free and others are ticketed, and tickets are sold separately for each show. It is organised by Priego de Córdoba Town Council with the support of the Diputación de Córdoba and the Junta de Andalucía. The 79th edition, planned for July 2027, has no dates or line-up yet. They are usually announced in February, at the presentation of Mascarón.
