What it is
The Feria de El Santo is the big celebration in Montilla, capital of Montilla-Moriles wine. It is held in honour of San Francisco Solano, the town's patron saint, and ends every year on 14 July, his feast day, with the religious ceremonies. For 2027 it is expected from 8 July to 14 July 2027, as in 2026. It starts with the opening speech in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the switching on of the lights, and for seven days there are casetas with live music, activities for families and a caseta for young people. It is a good opportunity to combine the fair with a visit to the wineries.
Getting there and tickets
The fairground is set up on the Avenida de las Camachas, at the entrance to Montilla. The town is about 45 kilometres from Córdoba along the A-45, by car or intercity bus. Entry to the fair is free. It is organised by Montilla Town Council, which presents the programme at the beginning of July on montilla.es. Note: the dates given are an estimate based on the usual calendar, not an official announcement. Before planning your trip, check for confirmation on the organiser's website, which usually publishes it a few months ahead, and book accommodation in advance if you are coming from elsewhere.
