A day of hiking in the mountains
The Hornachuelos City Council and the Hornitural association organize the third edition of the Hikers Meeting, a day to explore the Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park, part of the Spanish Network of Biosphere Reserves. It takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in the heart of autumn, when the Mediterranean forest is at its greenest and the weather is perfect for walking. The Tourism Office, the Junta de Andalucía, and the natural park itself collaborate.
Three routes for three levels
Each participant chooses one of three routes: a short 6 km route of low difficulty, designed for families and beginners; a 16 km medium-level route; and a long 26 km high-level route for experienced hikers. The organization has not yet announced the starting point or time, so it is advisable to confirm these when registering.
Registration
Registration costs 7 € and includes refreshments along the route, a mountain stew to regain strength at the end, a drink, and a commemorative wristband. Registration is done via the form linked on the official poster (QR code) or by contacting Ángeles at 672 251 248 or by email at Hornitural@gmail.com. Since places include food, it is best not to leave registration until the last day.
