What it is
This musical tribute recreates the story of "El Rey León" (The Lion King), with the African savannah as the setting for the adventures of Simba, a lion cub and heir to the throne. Unjustly accused by the wicked Scar of his father's death, Simba is forced to flee and leave his past behind. During his exile he makes friends with Timon and Pumbaa, who are the narrators of this story. Full of courage and accompanied by Nala, his childhood friend, he will try to return to reclaim the throne and bring peace back to the kingdom. It is a show made for enjoying as a family, with the songs that go with this well-known story.
Getting there and tickets
The performance is on Saturday 7 November 2026 at 17:00 at the Casa de la Cultura in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, Calle Peñas Rojas, 34. Tickets cost from €15 on Giglon, not including booking fees. Children over 12 months must have their own ticket to enter the venue. The same show is performed the following day at the Teatro Garnelo in Montilla.
