What it is
The musical tribute to ‘El Rey León’ (The Lion King) comes to the Teatro Garnelo in Montilla. The African savannah is the setting for the adventures of Simba, a young lion and heir to the throne who, unjustly accused by the wicked Scar of his father's death, has to flee and leave his past behind. In exile he befriends Timon and Pumbaa, the narrators of the story. With courage, and alongside his childhood friend Nala, he will try to return to reclaim the throne and restore peace to the kingdom. It is a Sunday morning performance designed to be enjoyed as a family, with one of the stories best loved by young and old.
Getting there and tickets
The performance is on Sunday 8 November 2026 at 12 noon at the Teatro Garnelo, Plaza de la Rosa, s/n, in Montilla. Tickets cost from €15 on Giglon, booking fees not included. Anyone over 12 months old needs their own ticket to enter the venue. It is performed in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo the previous afternoon.
