El legado de Sabina y Milanés is a musical show that pays tribute to two of the most influential singer-songwriters in the Spanish language: Joaquín Sabina and Pablo Milanés. The set list takes in their most emblematic songs, and the thread is what links the two: the urban poetry of the man from Úbeda and the bolero and nueva trova of the Cuban are woven together in a single concert. Who is on stage
The songs are performed by the people best placed to do so. On one side, Haydée Milanés, daughter of Pablo Milanés, who died in 2022, and a singer with a career of her own who has spent years reinterpreting her father's repertoire. On the other, La Banda Sabinera, the group that backed Joaquín Sabina until he retired from the stage in 2025 and that has become the undisputed reference when it comes to recreating Sabina's world. Together they offer a concert that crosses generations, for those who grew up with these records and for those who discovered them later.
Córdoba, the first stop
According to the council's listing, Córdoba will be the first city to see the show, which comes to the Teatro de la Axerquía as part of the IMAE's programme for this autumn. The venue, the open-air auditorium of the Instituto Municipal de las Artes Escénicas on avenida Menéndez Pidal, next to the Cruz Conde park, is the same one that hosts the city's big concerts in spring and summer, and in mid-October it still makes for a comfortable night outdoors, though a light coat for the end will not go amiss.
