What you will hear
The sixth subscription programme brings together flamenco and the Russian winter. The first half features El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla, the work in which the flamenco singer's voice carries more weight than in any other piece by the composer, amid spells, dances and will-o'-the-wisp; the singer is Anabel Castillo. In the second, the Orquesta de Córdoba performs Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1, ‘Winter Daydreams’, a winter landscape the composer wrote at the age of twenty-six. The conductor is Salvador Vázquez, the orchestra's principal conductor and artistic director. It is one of the season's programmes that is repeated on two consecutive days, Thursday and Friday.
Getting there and tickets
The concert is at the Gran Teatro in Córdoba at 8 pm, with a second performance on Friday 26 February at the same time, as part of the Orquesta de Córdoba's subscription series. Single tickets cost between 10 and 27 euros depending on the area: stalls €27, central platea and boxes €20, side platea and boxes €18, central amphitheatre and gallery €15, and side €10. They are on sale from 1 October 2026 at the box offices of the Gran Teatro and the Teatro Góngora and on the Orquesta de Córdoba website, with no fees for online purchases. There are discounts that cannot be combined, such as 50% for young people up to the age of 35.
