El crimen del palodú is a mystery comedy by Sofía Aguilar Producciones de Arte together with Producciones Circulares. The action is set at the Feria de Abril of 2019, the last one before the pandemic. Officer Jiménez and Inspector Villanueva, the pair who already solved the regañá murders in their own way, are now chasing a killer who has Seville on edge with a weapon as unexpected as palodú (liquorice root). The whole investigation happens over one long, madcap night inside Pepe's bar, where someone is also trying to warn them about a virus that is on its way. It mixes Andalusian humour with a crime novel plot, and comes to Pozoblanco as part of the performing arts programme co-organised by the Junta and the Town Council.

The performance is on Friday 30 October 2026 at 21:00 at the Teatro Municipal El Silo, at Avenida El Silo s/n in Pozoblanco. It lasts about 75 minutes and tickets cost 5 euros. It is organised by the Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales and Pozoblanco Town Council, which takes enquiries on 957 77 36 96. The page in the Agenda Cultural de Andalucía gives no online sales point, so it is best to ask at the theatre itself or at the Town Council.
