What you'll see
"Córdoba Romana. La ciudad oculta" (Roman Córdoba: the hidden city) traces the history of the city from its Turdetani origins on the Colina de los Quemados to its consolidation as a great city of Baetica. It is curated by UCO professor Desiderio Vaquerizo and organised in some ten sections that combine original pieces with immersive audiovisuals. More than 33 archaeological pieces are on show: from the Louvre come the bust of Germanicus and a statue of Heracles, and the rest come from the British Museum and the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, among others. With an investment of more than 400,000 euros, it aims to surpass "Córdoba, reflejo de Roma" (2012) and "Cambio de Era" (2022), and it is complemented by lectures.
