What it is and what you will see
A route through one of the most distinctive corners of the Campiña. It leaves Guadalcázar, goes down to the Marota stream, which has to be forded, and follows the Vereda de Villafranquilla to the Vía Verde de la Campiña. The La Dehesilla stretch mixes cereal fields, holm oak dehesa with wild olive, and pasture, an enclave that preserves vegetation rare in the Campiña as well as steppe and nocturnal birds such as the long-eared owl and the scops owl. The return enters the village through the San Vicente neighbourhood. The Diputación's day out is rounded off with the Centro de Interpretación de la Naturaleza y la Biodiversidad, the nature and biodiversity interpretation centre beside the Torre Mocha.
