About the event
The Concurso Morfológico de Pura Raza Española Ciudad de Córdoba, the centrepiece of Cabalcor, will reach its 32nd edition in 2027. It is held in the last full week of September at the Caballerizas Reales; the dates are an estimate until Córdoba Ecuestre publishes the calendar.
Key points
- Estimated dates: Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 September
- Free entry to the Cabalcor competitions in 2026
- The prelude to the SICAB World Championship
What is known about the 2027 edition
Córdoba's conformation show is one of the longest-running events for the Spanish horse: the 30th edition was held in September 2025 with 55 stud farms and the 31st from 24 to 26 September 2026, with 88 horses from 45 brands that also came from Mexico, the United States and Panama. On that pattern, the 32nd edition should fall between Thursday 23 and Saturday 25 September 2027. The horses are shown in hand and the judges assess how closely they match the breed standard; for the adults there is also a ridden functionality test. In the calendar, it is the last big stop before the World Championship held in Seville in November.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The Caballerizas Reales are next to the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, in the old town and in a restricted traffic zone, so the easy way to get there is on foot. In 2026 entry to all the Cabalcor competitions was free until full, and the Saturday afternoon session brought together the championships and the prize-giving. It is organised by Córdoba Ecuestre, which publishes the timetable by section a few days beforehand; the 2027 dates are indicative.
