Sacred Music in Córdoba's Churches

The Cathedral Orchestra and Choir of Córdoba, led by Clemente Mata, return this fall to perform in the city's historic churches with a series of musical evenings. The 2026 edition is titled "Consors paterni luminis" and brings cathedral music to central parish churches before ending, at Christmas, in the Mezquita-Catedral itself. All concerts are free until full capacity.

Series Schedule

The opening concert is on Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 PM at the Parish of La Compañía, located on the same-named square. Followed by "Mane nobiscum" on November 13 at 9:00 PM at San Nicolás de la Villa, "Esto nobis praegustatum" on November 14 at 9:00 PM at the Parish of La Trinidad, and "Lumen gentium" on December 4 at 9:00 PM at San Miguel Arcángel. The series concludes on December 19 at 8:00 PM at the Mezquita-Catedral with "O admirabile commercium".

Tips for Attending

Since entry is free and venues have limited capacity, it is advisable to arrive early, especially for the closing concert at the Mezquita-Catedral, which coincides with the Christmas season. The program does not specify the works performed at each concert beyond their titles. For last-minute updates, check the websites of the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba and the Cabildo.
