What it is
Tributo a Pepe Céspedes y Paco Calavera is a show with a thoroughly tongue-in-cheek premise: the two comedians join forces to pay homage to the comics who have most influenced their careers, who are none other than themselves. For ninety minutes they go after the laugh in a thousand ways, playing characters of their own creation, improvising or getting the audience to sing. The blurb sells it as an unmissable chance to see two cover acts who improve on the originals, with Paco and Pepe playing Pepe and Paco. It is a comedy offering for adult audiences on a Saturday night, part of the Teatro Avanti's January programme, made for anyone who enjoys character comedy.
