What it is
Show patético is the comedy show by Abián Díaz, who presents it in the first person and with plenty of dry wit. His stated aim is to make the audience laugh so much that someone is forced to leave the auditorium halfway through to avoid passing out for lack of air. And, once in the foyer, to make them wonder whether to go back to their seat, knowing that inside the laughter will once again make that breathing business difficult. In that moment of doubt, the comedian concludes, the spectator will realise what a good idea it was to come to the show. Something like that, more or less, he adds. It is a show of about ninety minutes for adult audiences, scheduled for a Sunday evening at the Teatro Avanti.
