Córdoba poetry on All Souls Day
Cecosam's All Saints 2026 schedule dedicates Saturday morning to words. At 11:30 a.m., the Nuestra Señora de la Salud Cemetery hosts a poetry recital honoring the Grupo Cántico, aiming to showcase the poets' lives and works. The event is supported by the Federation of Peñas Cordobesas.
The Grupo Cántico
Cántico is the name of the poetic group formed in Córdoba in the late 1940s around the magazine of the same name. Its most notable members include Pablo García Baena, Ricardo Molina, Juan Bernier, Julio Aumente, and Mario López, along with painters Ginés Liébana and Miguel del Moral. Their poetry, rooted in sensual and Mediterranean themes, is one of Córdoba's most significant contributions to 20th-century Spanish literature.
Practical Information
The official schedule does not specify a reservation for this recital. Currently, municipal cemeteries are open from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. without interruption, and Aucorsa has increased service on line E with stops at its entrances. The Salud Cemetery is located on Avenida de los Custodios, in the neighborhood of the same name. That evening, and on November 1 and 2, the All Saints program continues with performances of Don Juan Tenorio at the cemeteries.
