What you'll see

The Department of Culture organises the 2º Ciclo de Órgano en Andalucía "Música y patrimonio", with 16 concerts in 14 towns, and Cabra is the only one in the province of Córdoba. Performing there is Dúo Tubox: Antonio Cánovas, a saxophonist from Murcia with an Extraordinary Prize from the Conservatorio Superior de Alicante, and Rubén Díez, an organist trained in Rome and teacher at the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga. The programme runs from the baroque to the 21st century, with works by Cabanilles, Bach (Sonata BWV 1020), Olivares, Geminiani, Guy de Lioncourt and the Fantaisie by Denis Bédard. The star is the parish church's baroque organ, built between 1756 and 1758 by the Córdoba brothers José and Patricio Furrel, with a case by Teodosio Sánchez Cañadas.

Getting there and tickets

The recital is on Saturday 31 October 2026 at 20:30 in the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y Ángeles in Cabra, whose baroque organ is also the centrepiece of the Ciclo de Órgano de Cabra that the Academia de Órgano Cordubensis has organised since 2018. The concert is part of the series run by the Junta de Andalucía's Department of Culture and Sport. The source gives neither a price nor how to get in, so it is worth checking with Cabra Town Council or the parish.
