This autumn the Real Círculo de la Amistad launches the series Conversaciones en torno a la música (conversations about music), with free-entry talks and discussions. After a first session devoted to the art of conducting with Salvador Vázquez, conductor of the Orquesta de Córdoba, the second is devoted to Rafael Orozco (1946-1996), the great Córdoba pianist, 80 years after his birth. In conversation will be the writer and music critic Justo Romero and Juan Miguel Moreno Calderón, head of the El Círculo de las Artes area and artistic director of the Festival Internacional de Piano Rafael Orozco. The talk also coincides with the festival that bears the pianist's name, so it is a good moment to get to know him better.
Getting there and registration
The talk is on Monday 26 October 2026 at 20:00 at the Real Círculo de la Amistad, on Calle Alfonso XIII, in the centre of Córdoba. Entry is free, but you need to register beforehand through the Círculo's app, as the club itself announced. The first session of the series was held in the Sala Julio Romero de Torres.
