What it is and what you will see
A route along the left bank of the Guadajoz that starts near the site of the Roman villa of El Arca, beside the Doña Mencía road. It follows the La Higuera and Regelguera streams, the most important tributaries of the Guadajoz on that side, which preserve riverside woodland in the middle of the olive groves. These watercourses were intensively settled, as shown by the Guta site, studied by the Castro del Río professor Manuel Carrilero, and the route explains several of the municipality's archaeological sites with views over the valley. It is an easy route in the Diputación's campaign; the accompanying visit is still to be decided.
