Comic Sans, emo from Donosti
Comic Sans is a four-piece founded in 2019 in Donosti, made up of Álvaro, Mickele, Ander and Diego, and one of the names in the wave of midwest emo bands that has grown in Spain in recent years. They debuted with «Jon Lee» in 2021, followed by «Éramos felices y no lo sabíamos» (BCore, 2023) and the EP «Ojalá fuera mi cumpleaños». In 2026 they release «Todas las cosas que nos salieron mal», again on BCore: fast guitars, intricate drumming and sing-along choruses. They have toured the peninsula and parts of Europe. In Córdoba they share the night with Fuente Nueva.
Fueled By Salmorejo's fourth series
Fueled By Salmorejo is an independent record label and concert promoter based in Córdoba, born as an offshoot of the band Viva Belgrado and with a strong DIY spirit. This season it runs its fourth concert series at Sala Hangar: one Thursday a month, from October 2026 to May 2027, with bands from the independent scene. The series line-up brings together Los Chivatos and Ramen!, The New Raemon with Cándido el Cruel, Toldos Verdes, Carmen Lancho with Jules & Jaime, Comic Sans with Fuente Nueva, Axolotes Mexicanos and Crossed with Heartless. The series is supported by Estrella Galicia.
When, where and tickets
All the concerts in the series take place at Sala Hangar, Avenida de la Libertad, 2, in Córdoba's Noroeste district. Tickets are sold on the online box office of Fueled By Salmorejo, the promoter itself, as standing tickets. The series poster also states free entry for under-21s; if you are going with someone that age, it is worth confirming the conditions with the organisers before you go. This date is Thursday 11 March 2027 at 20:30.
